Why You Should Be Wary Of Some Online Dental Recruitment Sites

Increasingly these days when it comes to dental recruitment more and more people are heading online to find their next dental job. But whilst this can easily be seen as a new, faster and better way of tracking down the best dental vacancies there is a danger that people may confuse 'online' for 'better'.

For many years now high street dental recruitment agencies have been struggling to keep up with demand, as the world of dentistry continues to expand and develop at a faster rate than it has ever done before. With more demand for new treatments there are more opportunities for people looking for work within the dental industry, and more people choosing dentistry as a career.

As a result dental recruitment agencies have been overwhelmed by both the dental surgeries looking for new staff, as well as those dental professionals looking for their next job.

Many dental recruitment agencies have still been working on the same systems which they were using before the recent expansion in dentistry, and as a result have been struggling to keep up with demand.

In fact not only have dental recruitment agencies not been keeping up with demand, most dental professionals who approach a high street agency looking to be matched up to suitable positions have found themselves waiting several weeks before the application is processed successfully and positions offered. This simply isn't acceptable.

So it is not surprising then that so many dental professionals have given up on dealing with high street agencies and instead gone online to find dental jobs.

But the problem is that for all the flashiness of their websites many of the online recruitment sites are merely masks behind which the same high street agencies are sitting.

So whilst it may take you less time to fill in an online form than it does to head down to your high street agency, book an appointment, fill in endless forms and then wait, you are still likely to face two problems.

The first thing you could find when using an online recruitment agency that is powered by the same high street agency you've chosen to bypass is that you could be looking at waiting for some considerable time before anything happens.

The other very important problem is that of course you will be inevitably offered a very narrow selection of dental vacancies. This is because most recruitment agencies still operate closed loop systems, which means that they do not have access to any dental vacancies other than those adverts placed directly with them.

However, there is good news. Because it is possible to find a dental job online without being caught up with traditional dental recruitment agency problems. Just recently a new dental portal was launched which has nothing to do with high street agencies, and does not involve third parties causing delays.

Not only that, but because it's completely free to advertise, unlike the exorbitant charges normally incurred, an overwhelming number of dental surgeries are now taking advantage of this service, meaning that you can not only find your next dental job quicker, but you're also able to see a much wider selection of vacancies.
